Truck carrying “drop off dumpster”, flipped onto an SUV; no injuries reported

Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- A truck carrying a “drop off dumpster”. flipped onto an SUV. This happened on February 18, 2020 at around 8:30 am.  Port St. Lucie Police and St. Lucie County Fire District responded to the intersection of SW Becker Road and SW Savona Boulevard for reports of a crash involving a truck and an SUV.

Police learned the driver of the truck (47-year-old male) was travelling west on SW Becker Road and turned onto SW Savona Boulevard and while making the turn the “drop off dumpster” rolled off the truck, lifting a portion of the truck off the ground. The dumpster impacted the SUV that was stopped at the turn lane causing extensive damages

The SUV was occupied by at 39-year-old female driver and a 7-year-old child; however, no injuries were reported.  Everyone safely exited the vehicle/truck.
