Tropical Storm Michael expected to strengthen to hurricane today
Tropical Storm Michael is expected to strengthen into a hurricane today as it heads towards Florida’s panhandle. Michael currently has 70mph winds. The storm is located about 90 miles east of Cozumel and moving to the north at 7mph. A hurricane watch is in effect for the Florida panhandle, and a tropical storm watch has been issued for Florida’s west coast down into Tampa Bay. Michael is expected to make landfall in the panhandle late Wednesday or early Thursday.
