Treasure Coast: Register to Vote

Florida offers online voter registration. You can register by mail to vote in Florida by printing a voter registration form, filling it out, and mailing it to your local election office. You can also register to vote in person if you prefer.

To register in Florida, you must:

  • be a citizen of the United States of America (a lawful permanent resident, commonly referred to as a “green card holder,” does not have the right to register or vote in Florida);
  • be a Florida resident;
  • be at least 18 years old (you may pre-register to vote if you are 16 years old);
  • not be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other state without having the right to vote restored;
  • not have been convicted of a felony without your voting rights having been restored.

You may apply by mail, in person or online to register to vote. You can fill out a voter registration application form online by clicking here.  You may also obtain a Florida Voter Registration Application Form in a PDF format from the Florida Division of Elections by clicking here, or from the Supervisor of Elections Office, designated Banks, Government Offices, Post Offices, Public Libraries,  Social Service Offices or when you apply or renew your driver’s license.  To register to vote, you must complete the application in its entirety (incomplete applications will not be processed) and mail or hand deliver it to the elections office. Your voter information card will be mailed to you in approximately 10 business days.

You may register to vote at any time.  However, the voter registration books will close 29 days before an election.  Any new registrations received after the voter registration books have closed, will be held and processed for future elections. Voter Registration Applications are available at:
