An on-duty New York City police officer was killed early Wednesday.  A gunman walked up to her patrol vehicle and fired one shot through the window, authorities said.

Fort Pierce: Man rams car with propane tanks into apartment building

On July 4 at 12:48 pm St Lucie Fire crews responded to residential structure fire in the 400 block of Palm Ave., Fort Pierce.  31-year-old Carl Philbert died.  He rammed a car loaded with propane tanks into an apartment building where his former girlfriend lived. He died at the scene.
