Treasure Coast High School Football Update August 26, 2019
TreasureCoast, Fl- Week 1 of the high school football season. Big plays abound as South Fork and Jensen Beach faced off against each other. South Fork scored on an 87-yard pass from Ryan Gross to Tyler Chreitzburg to take a 14-7 lead in the 2nd quarter. But Jensen Beach’s Fletcher Marshall returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a TD, then Dylan Duchene found Austin Duchene in the end zone for a 2-pt conversion. Jensen would go on to score twice more in the 2nd quarter and go on to win 38-22. In other games, Fort Pierce Central was shut out by Space Coast, 7-0. John Carroll Catholic dominated Okeechobee 35-6. And Vero Beach faced off against perennial powerhouse American Heritage. Neither team were able to score until the 4th quarter. American Heritage kicked a 20-yard field goal to take the lead, and Vero scored a TD to win 7-3.
