Treasure Coast High School Football begins!
TreasureCoast, Fl- High school football, kickoff classics on Friday. South Fork dominated Suncoast, scoring 4 rushing TDs and returning an interception for a TD to win 34-6. Eau Gallie scored two first quarter touchdowns, but Westwood rallied with TDs in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters to win 20-14. Martin County also fell behind by two touchdowns, but rallied thanks to touchdowns from the special teams and defense to win 16-14. Centennial shut out Astronaut 27-0, while Treasure Coast crushed Wellington 43-7, and John Carroll scored on a pick-6 to defeat Fort Pierce Central 10-0. Meanwhile, Port St Lucie lost to Forest Hill 32-26, and Jensen Beach fell to Benjamin 35-20. None of those games will count though. The regular season starts this week.
