Treasure Coast High School Basketball Update Dec 9

High school basketball. Fort Pierce Central’s hot start to the season continued last night.

They dominated district rival Martin County through large sections of the game, then held on for a 76-72 win.

Malik Dunn had a team-high 19 points, and David Reese had several electrifying dunks that got the home crowd on their feet.

Martin County’s Stephon Noel scored 30 points, all in the 2nd half.

The win moves Central to 6-1 overall and into first place with a district record of 2-0.

Martin County fell to 3-3 and 0-1 in the district.

In other games last night Treasure Coast gave Vero Beach their first loss of the season 33-28, and Centennial fell to Sebastian River 80-75 in double-overtime.
