Treasure Coast Extension Makes Space for Food System Connections

Treasure Coast Extension Makes Space for Food System Connections

FORT PIERCE – The first Good Food Connections meeting of the season will be held Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Join us for our season premier. Good Food Connections meetings are free virtual networking events intended to help growers, distributors, retailers, food pantries, chefs, school food service, etc. make connections to strengthen our food system. This year, we are joined by Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Extension Agent Jennifer Taylor, who will be helping to facilitate food system connections into north Florida.

In addition to informal networking opportunities, the October meeting will feature a presentation from the Sunshine Kitchen Food Incubator, where chefs, caterers, food truck operators, and farmers with value-added product ideas can hone their skills. Please register in advance; there is no fee to participate.  UF/IFAS Extension is an equal opportunity institution.
