A new day dawns in South Florida as restaurants and retail establishments open for the first time in two months as part of Phase 1.
Governor Ron DeSantis announced the executive order on Friday to allow restaurants, retail stores and gyms to increase capacity to 50% effective May 18.

Fitness centers today will join Florida’s slow return to normal. Gyms are allowed to reopen at 50 percent capacity, and precautions will be taken to ensure staff and members are safe. Those precautions include requiring masks for staff and separating equipment to comply with social distancing guidelines.
