Tour de Turtles at Disney’s VB Resort.
A pair of loggerhead turtles are in the deep blue yonder. They are helping scientists learn more about their behavior in an effort to protect them. The turtles crawled to the ocean at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on Saturday. The event is part of the 10th annual Tour de Turtles migration marathon. This is in conjunction with the Sea Turtle Conservancy and Disney’s Animals. Scientists will track the turtles for more insight into their lives at sea, identify migratory patterns and raise awareness about the species.
