Third SFWMD board member resigns

West Palm Beach, Fl- A third board member of the South Florida Water Management District has resigned. Rick Barber announced he will honor Governor DeSantis’ request that all board members step down. Barber was appointed by former Governor Rick Scott back in 2013. Barber represented Lee, Collier, Hendry, and Charlotte counties.

Five members of the board have so far refused to resign, two weeks after the governor publicly requested them to step down while at an appearance in Stuart.
