Teen girl dies after shooting near Fort Pierce Boys & Girls Club

Fort Pierce, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- A teen girl who was shot near the Boys & Girls Club two weeks ago, has died. Fort Pierce Police say that 16-year old Tar’niya Carter of Stuart was one of two people injured on December 3rd. A 15-year old boy was also shot in the same incident. He has been released from the hospital.

FORT PIERCE – Earlier today, the 16-year-old female victim wounded during a shooting incident almost two weeks ago, succumbed to her injuries.

The Stuart resident was one of two people injured in the incident that occurred December 3, 2019 in the 3100 block of Avenue J.

The 15-year-old male victim has been released from a hospital.

Fort Pierce Police continue searching for any information that will help solve this case.

Fort Pierce Police Continue Investigation Into Shooting Incident

FORT PIERCE – Fort Pierce Police are still searching for any information that will help identify a motive and the suspects involved in the shooting of two teenagers.

At approximately 6:08 p.m. Tuesday, Fort Pierce Police responded to shooting activity in the 3100 block of Avenue J. The two teenagers were walking on the sidewalk with a group of other unknown individuals when the incident occurred.

Two Fort Pierce Detectives, who were in the area, rushed to the female victim and began rendering aid until St. Lucie County Fire Rescue arrived to transport her and the male victim to area hospitals. Both victims are currently in critical condition.

Fort Pierce Police Seek Witnesses to Shooting Incident

FORT PIERCE – The Fort Pierce Police Department responded to shooting activity in the 3100 block of Avenue J at approximately 6:08 p.m.

Two victims were wounded. Both were transported to area hospitals.

Fort Pierce Police Detectives are working to identify a motive and locate witnesses that could lead them to the suspect(s) involved in this case.
