Suspicious death under investigation in Vero Beach
Vero Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- A suspicious death is under investigation in Vero Beach.The investigation is taking place in the 2500 block of Granada Avenue. The Vero Police said a person walking their dog discovered the body of a man covered in blood along a trail in a wooded area.
The 59-year-old victim is believed to be a homeless man identified as Alken Brent Hamilton. According to the police he is a transient that travels between Vero Beach and the Melbourne Area.

A man walking his dog Thursday morning discovered a dead body in a wooded area of Vero Beach, according to police.
Officers said they received a call regarding the incident at about 8 a.m.
The dog owner said their pet smelled something in the woods near the 2500 block of Granada Ave.
After walking into the wooded area, police said the dog owner discovered a dead man covered in blood.
The body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
