Suspect sold heroin, cried when arrested

Martin County, Fla– 36-year old Charles Earl Zureich of Stuart was in good spirits when he arranged to sell some heroin last night His delight was short lived once the sale was completed.  Zureich was greeted by a team of MCSO Narcotics Detectives. They delivered the news of his arrest, which prompted a sea of emotions. Zureich was taken to the hospital for observation, then transported to the Martin County Jail on $32,500 bond.

Drug overdoses continue to occur at a steady pace in our area, with heroin causing a majority of the problems. So far this year, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office has responded to 72 overdoses. Eleven of those have resulted in deaths. Efforts to identify, locate, and arrest the individuals selling and distributing these dangerous and addictive drugs will continue in hopes of reducing those numbers
