Suspect in Homeless woman sexual attack arrested in Vero Beach

Vero Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The suspect in a homeless woman’s sexual attack was arrested in Vero Beach.

Here is the info from the Vero Police:
Sexual Battery (Case#2022-1196)
On June 27, 2022, at approximately 0418 hrs, Vero Beach Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of 14th Ave in reference to a sexual battery that had just occurred.
Vero Beach Police Officers made contact with a female who advised she was destitute and was sleeping in the downtown area. She advised a black male who introduced himself as “Malcolm” approached her and asked her to cuddle. The female declined, but “Malcolm” proceeded to lie down next to her. “Malcolm” then physically restrained the female victim and forced himself on top of her. The female attempted to resist, at which time “Malcolm” presented a knife and demanded her to have sex with him.
On June 29th, investigators were able to identify the suspect as twenty year old Malcolm Jahmal Scott Ellison. Ellison was taken into custody without incident and charged with Sexual Battery with Threat of Violence.
Ellison is currently being held at the Indian River County Jail with NO BOND.
