The incident began when the belligerent armed man threatened to fire his weapons out the window of his Stuart apartment. When police and deputies tired to speak to him- he fled his apartment and took off in his vehicle, ramming multiple sheriff’s vehicles. The subject crashed in a wooded area near 21st Street west of Federal Highway, but still engaged in a standoff. SWAT teams moved in towards the vehicle and were able to secure the suspect without injury to him, deputies or the public.
