Subway restaurant clerk robbed at gunpoint; Police asking for public’s help in identifying suspects.

On August 20, 2016 at around 9:10 pm, two gunmen entered the Subway Restaurant located in the 9100 block of South US Highway 1.  Once inside one of the suspects pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register.  The clerk complied and opened the register.  One of the suspects leaned over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk.  The suspects then fled the area on foot.

Port St. Lucie Police arrived and after confirming that the clerk was unharmed police began an extensive search of the area utilizing police dogs and the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office helicopter.

Police viewed the video surveillance from the Subway.  Suspect 1 is described as a black male approximately 5’10” – 6′ tall, medium build wearing a black t-shirt, dark colored long black shorts, orange bandanna over his head and face armed with a black handgun. Suspect 2 is described as a black male approximately 5’10” – 6′ tall, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored pants, orange shirt covering his head and face, also armed with a black handgun.
