Stuart Man Hoping For A White Christmas Gets Arrested

Stuart, Fla (treasurecoast.com)- On Friday, December 22nd a Stuart Police Officer was conducting holiday business patrols in the 2400 Block of SE Monterey Road. The officer found an occupied pickup truck parked. It appeared that someone was sitting inside with his head down.

The officer then conducted a welfare check. The occupant, later identified as Ryan R. Carter, 25 of Stuart, Florida was found inside with a pill bottle containing white powder or pills on his lap. As Carter opened the door to the pickup truck, the pill bottle then fell and white powder spilled out onto the ground. The white powder was later determined to be Cocaine.

Stuart Police K-9 Officer Tyler Bovee and his K-9 partner, Bady assisted with the investigation and alerted to the presence of additional narcotics inside the truck. There was additional cocaine, baggies and a scale found inside the pickup.

Carter was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) with Intent to Sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Martin County Jail, where he was then held on a $25,500 bond.
