Stuart man arrested: met run-a-way underage girl online, gave drugs, filmed sex acts
A man from Stuart is accused of giving a 16-year-old runaway meth, marijuana and alcohol, and recording their sexual activity.
The investigation began in September when the girl ran away from home. Authorities developed leads indicating the girl may have been company of Joshua Rogers of Stuart. Then, the two were spotted at a Dunkin Donuts in Stuart on Sept. 27th. Rogers was then arrested. The girl told investigators she met Rogers online and that they lived together for about a month.
According to the federal criminal complaint, Rogers began to offer the girl alcohol and marijuana. She said he showed her how to smoke methamphetamine with a glass pipe. The two then engaged in sex, which Rogers recorded on his cell phone.
