“Good Times Of Our Lives”

pays homage to those special, memorable events in people’s lives that brought a smile to your face, touched your heart, made you happy. A walk on the sandy beach, a trip to the county fair, a family picnic, an old-fashioned dance, a song at a wedding, or just kicking back with a few great reruns of shows from yesteryear.
Admission tickets for “Good Times Of Our Lives”  are $10.00 each ($8.00 for Kane Center members). For more information about concert tickets, or to purchase tickets, contact the Kane Center at 772-223-7800. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.kanecenter.org. The Stuart Community Concert Band

is under the direction of Mr. Jim LeBon, who serves as the band director for Southport Middle School. The community band consists of dedicated volunteer musicians of all ages, ranging from high-school students to retired residents in their late eighties, who get together and play for the love of music.
Everyone is welcome! The band has members from all walks of life, ages, and professions who happily donate their time and talents to create quality music. Bonded by our love for music, we gather every week with our instruments to play, rehearse, and practice.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Stuart Baptist Church on U.S. 1, north of the Roosevelt Bridge. If you are interested in joining the band or just coming out to play, we’ll be happy to see you!

Following “Good Times Of Our Lives” will be another concert at the Kane Center. This will be  entitled “Popular Music Through The Years.”  It is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017. “Popular Music Through The Years”  is just that. Think of an era… 1940 Big Bands, 1950 Hoagy Carmichael, 1960 Henry Mancini, Ray Charles, 1970 Earth, Wind and Fire, Journey. You get the idea. Whenever you were born, we’ve got music that was the best from that era.
This year the Stuart Community Concert Band will perform a special concert in honor of Independence Day. The band’s “July 4th Celebration” will take place beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st, 2017, at the Blake Library in Stuart. This Fourth of July performance for the community is free and open to the public.
