Stuart Community Concert Band to perform concert series at Kane Center

The Stuart Community Concert Band will be performing a series of 5 concerts at the Kane Center (Salerno Road in Stuart).  Events details will be listed below. Individual ticket prices are $10, but for a series of 5, paid in advance, you can attend all 5 performances for just $30, an average of $6.00 per concert.

All concerts are on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 PM. Tickets are transferable, so if you can’t go, you can offer the tickets to a friend or neighbor.

October 16th, 2016 –  A Piece of Americana. – A Piece of Americana will feature songs and composers that musically, made America what it is today. The concert will feature a medley of classic American songs, “American Spectacular”, Ron LoPresti’s “Elegy to a Young American”, National Emblem March and the famous 1st Suite in Eb written by Gustav Holst. This concert will have you singing along and leaving proud to be an American.

December 4th, 2016 – Holiday Concert – Our Holiday Concert will feature favorites from around the holiday season. Some of the old standbys include Sleigh Ride, A Christmas Festival, Handel’s Messiah, and Greensleeves.

January 29th, 2017 – A Leroy Anderson Retrospective – A Leroy Anderson Retrospective is a look back to the days when Leroy Anderson was turning out such orchestra favorites for the Boston Pops as “The Typewriter”, Clarinet Candy, Fiddle Faddle, The Irish Washerwoman, and Bugler’s Holiday.

March 12th, 2017 – Good Times of our Lives – Good Times of Our Lives pays homage to those events in people’s lives that were memorable and made you happy. A walk on the beach, a trip to the circus, a song at a wedding, or just kicking back with a few great reruns of shows from yesteryear.

April 23rd, 2017 – Popular Music Through The Years – Popular Music Through The Years is just that. Think of an era… 1940 Big Bands, 1950 Hoagy Carmichael, 1960 Henry Mancini, Ray Charles, 1970 Earth, Wind and Fire, Journey. You get the idea. Whenever you were born, we’ve got music that was the best from that era.

After the first concert, season tickets will no longer be available. Tickets will continue to be sold separately at a cost of $10/ticket.
