About Stuart Beach

Stuart Beach is located in Martin County, Florida, on the Atlantic Coast side of the state that’s known as the Treasure Coast.

It’s considered a good spot for fishing and water sports, and it has a vast, sandy stretch of beach, as well as lifeguards on duty. Offshore and inshore fishing has long been popular in the area, but now nearshore fishing is also becoming increasingly common in Stuart. From Stuart Beach, you might be able to catch pompano and tarpon, as well as bluefish and Spanish mackerel. There are a number of Stuart Beach hotels located near the public beach access, including the Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort.

Stuart Beach was named one of the best beaches in the south by USA Today. It was recognized because it’s near local attractions, and it also has an inclusive wheelchair access program that helped earn it a top spot. The beach is considered family-friendly thanks to the amenities as well.

Stuart Beach is just a few minutes from Downtown Stuart. The public beach features amenities and facilities for convenience, including bathrooms, showers, and restrooms. Stuart Beach also has picnic areas, beach volleyball courts, and basketball courts. Visitors have the opportunity before or after visiting Stuart Beach to go to the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center, set on nearly 60 acres, focusing on area marine life, while the Elliott Museum narrates Stuart’s history. Both are just across the street from the beach.

Paved parking is available, and there’s a restaurant nearby called the Seaside Café, with casual, island-inspired food. When conditions are good, surfing is common at Stuart Beach. Beachgoers can also rent umbrellas and beach chairs for a nominal fee.

There is a Stuart Beach webcam always available for anyone who wants to check the conditions beforehand. Martin County operates the live webcams.
