Store employee arrested for stealing $1,000.00 in Lottery scratch off tickets

On Monday, November 28, 2016, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Christina Marie Beyersdorf (DOB 11/11/94, 519 NW Conover St., Port St. Lucie) on grand theft charges after she took forty (40) $25.00 scratch off lottery tickets.

On November 28, 2016, Port St. Lucie Police were called to the Speedway located in the 100 block of NW Bayshore Boulevard for reports that the store clerk had stolen multiple lottery scratch off tickets.  Police were told by the manager that on November 27, 2016 at around 7:29 am, Beyersdorf was captured on store surveillance video taking lottery tickets from the lottery storage bin and putting the tickets in an employee organizer pouch.  At 9:05 the same day, Beyersdorf was seen taking the lottery tickets from the pouch then exiting the store with the lottery tickets.

After being confronted by her manager, Beyersdorf agreed to return the lottery tickets.  Two of the 40 lottery tickets were already scratched off and neither of them was a winner.  Police photographed the tickets then placed Beyersdorf under arrest for grand theft.

Beyersdorf was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
