St Lucie Public Schools Graduation Rate Ranks 1st on the Treasure Coast

St. Lucie County, Fl- St Lucie Public Schools Graduation Rate Ranks 1st on the Treasure Coast!  St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) earned a graduation rate of 90.4% while the six traditional high schools boasted a rate of 96.8% for the 2018-2019 school year. These rates all exceed the State average of 86.9% as SLPS continues to rank the highest on the Treasure Coast. Furthermore, SLPS ranks 5th in the State for districts with over 3,000 students in the graduation cohort.

This is the third consecutive year that the graduation rate for SLPS is above 90%. “This is a tremendous accomplishment and I commend our teachers, administrators and staff. All demographic groups continue to perform at high levels and our students are graduating from high school prepared to enroll in college as a result of their rigorous coursework or directly enter the workforce due to our strong career and technical programs,” said Superintendent E. Wayne Gent. Out of 67 Florida districts, SLPS ranks 6th for Economically Disadvantaged students, 7th for Exceptional Student Education students, 10th for White students, 11th for Hispanic students and 11th for English Language Learners.  Supporting all students in their achievement of graduation goals is the mission of SLPS.  The Martin County School District (MCSD) earned a graduation rate of 87.4% during the 2018-2019 school year according to data released by the Florida Department of Education.
