Good police work lead to capture of suspect of
fraudulent use of credit card.
Surveillance Video and a bolo lead to the capture.
Port St. Lucie Police arrested Jesse Robert Organ, February 2, on two counts of Fraudulent/Illegal use of a credit card after alert officers recognized Organ from a Be On The Look Out (BOLO) circulated to Port St. Lucie Police officers.
The investigation began on January 10, 2016 when a victim reported that his credit card was stolen on January 8, 2016, while he was at Good Times located at 9144 South US Highway 1 in Port St. Lucie. The victim received notification from his credit card provider that his card was used at a WalMart on January 9, 2016, for a transaction in the amount $300.00 and another transaction for $400.00. The card was also used at a Walgreens in Port St. Lucie in the amount of $120.00.
Investigating Officer Doug Norman went to the Walgreens where the stolen credit card was used and was able to locate the image of the suspect on the store’s surveillance video.
A BOLO with the suspect’s image was disseminated to all officers in the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
On February 2, 2016 at 12:27 am, Port St. Lucie Police Officer Jesse McInerney conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist who was riding without a light. Sergeant Daniel Herrington arrived at the traffic stop and recognized that the hooded sweat shirt the bicyclist was wearing matched that of the suspect’s clothing depicted in the BOLO. The suspect identified himself as Jesse Robert Organ and upon further contact both Officer McInerney and Sergeant Herrington was able to positively identify Organ as the suspect wanted in BOLO. Organ told police that he found the credit card by Good Times Bar and used the card at Walgreens and WalMart.
Organ was arrested and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
Yay! Thank you Post St Lucie Police!
