St. Lucie County Seeks Volunteers for Various Boards, Committees


St. Lucie County Commissioners are looking for civic-minded residents to serve on several boards and committees.
Volunteers are needed on the following boards/committees:
·       Citizen’s Budget Committee
·       Comprehensive Economic Strategy Committee (CEDS)
·       Community Development Block Grant/Citizen’s Advisory Task Force (must live in unincorporated St. Lucie County and not exceed set income limits)
·       Contractor’s Examining Board (one consumer representative, one architect and one swimming pool, roofing or “other specialty” contractor)
·       Historical Commission
·       Library Advisory Board
·       Planning & Zoning Committee
·       Port of Fort Pierce Advisory Committee
Some boards/committees may require specific qualifications or past experience, but the minimum requirements are:
·       Must be a St. Lucie County resident
·       Must not be related to another committee member, County Commissioner or county employee involved with the committee of interest
·       Must not be employed by the same business entity as other committee members
·       Must not serve on more than two county committees (does not apply to Ad Hoc Committees)
Applications are due by Tuesday, Nov. 1 to be considered for appointment at the Tuesday, Nov, 22, Reorganization Meeting.
