St. Lucie County Seeks Volunteers for Children’s Services Council. 

FORT PIERCE – St. Lucie County Commissioners are looking for civic-minded residents to serve on the Children’s Services Council.

The Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County is governed by 10 local community representatives.  The Council is made up of five by their designation in the community and five governor appointees. This board is seeking one community resident to fill one current vacancy. Regular council meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Children Service Council Office, 546 NW University Blvd., Port St. Lucie, with special meetings in September for public budget hearings.  More information about the Children’s Services Council is available atwww.cscslc.org and applications are available on the county’s website at: www.stlucieco.org/boards.

Some boards/committees may require specific qualifications or past experience, but the minimum requirements are:

  • Must be a St. Lucie County resident,
  •  not be related to another committee member, County Commissioner or county employee involved with the committee of interest,
  • Must not be employed by the same business entity as other committee members,
  •  not serve on more than two county committees (does not apply to Ad Hoc Committees).

Applications are due no later than Thursday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. to be considered for this seat.
