St. Lucie County Seeks Rental Properties for Housing Disaster Recovery Plan

 

 Hurricane season is coming up fast and St. Lucie County is preparing for recovery. With a storm, there is always the potential for families to be displaced from their homes. St. Lucie County is continuously updating its list of rental property owners and apartment complexes that are willing to work with displaced households after a disaster.

 Visit www.slchousing.org to register your property or call 772-462-1777 if you own units and are willing to be flexible with deposits for displaced families after a disaster. Those on the registered list may be contacted during a post-disaster response efforts to determine if vacant units are available to be matched with households in need. 

 Nothing is more distressing for survivors of disaster than the loss of a home and personal belongings. Finding shelter quickly creates much needed stability for individuals and families during a time of great uncertainty.
