South Fork High student found dead at home

Stuart, Fl- Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the sudden death of a 15-year-old boy. Deputies said his mother found him unresponsive at home early Thursday morning. The sheriff’s office said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The principal sent the following call to parents:

Good Afternoon, this is Jay Blavatt, principal of South Fork High School. It is with great sadness that I share with you the loss of one of our students today.  It is always difficult to share, as the student’s passing is a tragedy.  Grief counselors have been available to our staff and students throughout the day and will be on site tomorrow.  Please monitor your child’s behavior and emotions and feel free to contact the school for additional resources and support during this challenging time.  Now more than ever, we hold each other close as one united Bulldog Nation.  Tonight, hug your kids and please keep our Bulldog family in your thoughts and prayers.
