Sebastian Teen struck by car in reverse.
A Sebastian teen was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a car Saturday afternoon, police said.
The incident happened about 6:55 p.m. in the 1200 block of Schumann Drive, said Sebastian police Cmdr. John Blackledge.
A 13-year-old boy was assisting a motorist who needed help loading a dresser onto her vehicle. The dresser had been left on a curb. The woman was in her car and the boy was behind it when she had the car in reverse and hit the gas, police said. The boy was struck. Paramedics took the teen to Sebastian River Medical Center.
