Sebastian Doctor arrested for hit and run
A Sebastian doctor was arrested Thursday for the fatal hit and run of a Sebastian man. This dated back to April of last year.
44-year old Dr. Angela Shelton of Sebastian was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
A report issued in April by the Florida Highway Patrol said that Shelton’s vehicle was traveling east on County Road 512 on April 27th, 2016. Shelton’s car was near the intersection of 104th Ave and 512 when she struck a person and drove away.
Troopers identified the victim as 36-year-old Nickolas Kenesky of Sebastian, Florida. Kenesky died as a result of his injuries.
The report said that Shelton said she did not realize that she had hit Kenesky. Shelton told troopers that she noticed the damage to her vehicle when she arrived home and contacted law enforcement immediately to report the damage.
Investigators were able to link Kenesky’s injuries with the damage to Shelton’s car. Shelton is out on bond.
