Sea Fest For Kids At the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum!

Sea Fest For Kids At the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum!

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is excited to announce its second annual maritime festival Sea Fest For Kids. It will take place Saturday February 25, 2017, from 11:00 am -5:00 pm. Sea-inspired fun, education, vendors, land-based activities and demonstrations plus a bounty of adventures, Sea Fest For Kids celebrates our unique coastal heritage with nautical style.

Visit the Lighthouse and Museum, meet lively characters from Jupiter’s past! This including Lighthouse Keepers, pioneers at the Tindall Pioneer House and Living History folks telling civil war tales and displaying artifacts on the homestead. Meet a real mermaid and a pirate or two on their pirate ship. Learn about Seminole culture and join in crafts with our friends from the Ah-tah-thi-ki Seminole Museum. Lighthouse climbs will be offered too. Children must be at least 48” to climb and must be accompanied by an adult.

All Kinds of Fun!

Join in activities geared for the very young and young at heart. Listen to children’s book authors as they read their works aloud. Dance to live maritime music, paint a lighthouse mural and take a hike through the Outstanding Natural Area. Captain Crossbones and crew will be teaching young Bucs about the pirate life and how to make a really great name for themselves, join in teamwork, tie knots and perfect their… “arghhhh.”

Sea Fest kids can perfect craftiness in arts activities, and enjoy an old-fashioned Treasure Hunt gleaned from a real map filled with clues. Come dressed for the event and participate in a Kids mermaid and pirate costumes contest!
