Savannah Recreation Dog Park
The St. Lucie County Parks & Recreation Department and its staff welcome you to the Savannas Campground and Recreation Area. The Savannas is an outdoor recreation area which provides camping, boating, fishing, and picnic facilities.
Covering 550 acres and five distinct biological communities, the Savannas provides access to pine flatwoods, wet prairie, marsh, lake, and scrub habitats. Due to the unique biological and geographical features, the Savannas received “Reserve” status by the Florida Legislature in 1978. The Savannas is perhaps the most unique wilderness area in Florida.
The Savannas is open year round for camping as well as public recreational use 7 days per week. Public access is available from sunrise to sunset and includes access to fishing, canoe/kayak rentals, the dog park, and
walking/biking trails.
Camping registration, canoe/kayak rentals, and pavilion rentals can be made by visiting the Office, or by calling (772) 464-7855, during regular business hours.
The dog park is located on the main road at the end.
