Reckless driver tries to outdrive and outrun MCSO Deputies
Martin County– 35-year old Stephen James Craig was taken into custody after a night of erratic and dangerous driving. He already had a suspended license. He fled from deputies and then tried to run on foot to avoid capture. Craig tested his luck by trying to take off from deputies as they tried to pull him over. At one point, he thought he could get better mileage by jumping out his car, and running on foot. Watch what happens when Craig tests our deputies Taser skills.
Stephen James Craig was charged with DUI, Fleeing with disregard for the safety of other person or property, and driving while his license was suspended for the third time. Judge Steele raised his bond to $400,000 at first appearance. He will also be responsible to pay $1,078 in traffic fines.
