Recently Recovered Items Being Treated as Clues – Find Austin and Perry
The families of Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen say a number of items found are being evaluated to see if they’re related to the search for the missing teen boaters.
A family spokesperson, Nicholas Korniloff, said two life vests and a white throw cushion have been recently recovered.
“We are fully aware that these articles are like those found on practically every boat,” said family spokesman Nicholas Korniloff in a statement.
“So, while we are skeptical, we will treat these articles as potential clues,” Korniloff said.
A canine team is using clothing from Austin and Perry to evaluate the recovered items to see if there’s a connection.
The family says its privately funded search will continue from Jupiter to Wilmington, North Carolina, with a special focus on the area between Brunswick and Savannah.
