PSLPD’s K-9 Officer Landi apprehends aggravated battery suspect during his first week of work

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-  PSLPD’s K-9 Officer Landi apprehended an aggravated battery suspect during his first week of work.

Port St. Lucie Police’s newest K-9 Landi, tracks and apprehends aggravated battery suspect during the canine’s first week of work.
Canine Officer Mitch Miller and his newest partner Landi apprehended a 42-year-old man after he smashed a beer bottle over a woman’s head. The victim called 911 and when officers arrived, the suspect had fled on foot. Sergeant Matt Reynolds deployed a drone and began to canvas the area looking for the suspect, while responding officers set up a perimeter.
With the assistance of the drone, K-9 handler Mitch Miller and Landi were able to locate and arrest the suspect in the area of SW Crosstown Parkway and SW Cutlass Avenue. The subject was placed into handcuffs and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail.
Congratulations to Canine Landi on his first of many successful apprehensions.
