PSLPD: Tiffany Hall nursing home murderer believed to have access code

A newly released police report in the case of the Tiffany Hall murder says the murderer may have had an access code to the facility’s courtyard entrance.

Staff told police that in order to enter the facility through the courtyard entrance, you need a standard code.  That code can be entered on a keypad.

Officers arrived at the SE Hillmoor Drive address shortly after midnight on Jan. 5, according to the report. When they arrived, they found the male victim lying flat on his back in a hospital bed unconscious and not breathing.

Due to an emergency exit door having been opened earlier, there was a loud, repeating alarm going off, police say.

The victim also had a roommate in the nursing home room, according to the report. The victim’s roommate was transferred out of the room before the crime scene was secured.

According to the report, a perimeter was set up in the surrounding area and K-9 units were dispatched to look for the man nursing staff say was in the victim’s room, but the search was unsuccessful.
