PSLPD: Serial Pickpocket Suspect Identified, Wanted on 72 Charges and $442,000 Bond

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-  PSLPD Detectives obtained arrest warrants for 26-year-old, Devante Durham from Boynton Beach, after he was identified as the suspect responsible for at least 4 pickpocket wallet thefts that have occurred since February.
Durham targeted unsuspecting victims at local grocery stores and stole their wallets while they were shopping. The fast moving suspect then immediately went to nearby stores and fraudulently purchased thousands of dollars in gift cards with the victim’s stolen credit cards.
Thanks to the hard work of our Officers and Detectives, this suspect picked himself more than just a wallet while in PSL, he is now wanted on 72 charges to include 4 counts of petit theft, 22 counts of theft of a credit card, 15 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and 31 counts of fraudulent use of personal identification.
