PSLPD Police officer arrested after a domestic dispute

Port St Lucie, Fl- A Port St. Lucie Police Officer was arrested Saturday after a domestic dispute.

Thirty-six-year-old Craphonso Thorpe, Port St. Lucie Police Officer was arrested on Saturday November 9, 2019, on a misdemeanor battery charge after he was involved in a physical altercation while on duty with an individual he had been involved in a relationship with. Craphonso Thorpe was released from St Lucie County Jail on November 10, 2019.

The incident occurred on the evening hours of November 8, 2019 at around 11:15 pm. Once on scene, police learned that Craphonso Thorpe and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment.

Craphonso Thorpe was hired on December 15, 2014 and has served in the neighborhood policing bureau since hired.

He has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the conclusion of an active criminal and internal investigation.
