Port St Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) –PSLPD Animal Control Officer Paredes responded to a call for a loose dog which had been roaming the area. Officer Paredes recovered the Catahoula Leopard which did not have a microchip or ID tag.
Officer Paredes posted the Catahoula Leopard on PawBoost Port St. Lucie, FL – Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets and received a call from the owner shortly after. We learned that “Rocky” had been missing from his owner’s home since November 2, 2021.
PSLPD Animal Control quickly reunited Rocky with his family who were all smiles and so grateful to have him back after he went missing 11 weeks ago. We were informed that Rocky’s sister was waiting for him at the house to play and have fun!

Not every dog  is lucky like Rocky. Please take time to have your pets microchipped and ensure they have a collar and ID tag.

(editor’s note: As an experienced animal rescuer and the author of the Florida All Breed Rescue book it’s much better to do something with tags. If we could have rabies clinics, tags then we could easily find owners. let’s do this as a community and make it affordable. Also we go thru all three counties lost and found pets everyday and post them on TreasureCoast.com and in our newsgroups. Please make sure you follow us on Facebook!)
