PSLPD investigating gunfire on SW Prado Ave

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- On Friday, November 29, 2019 at around 6:50 pm, Police went to the 600 block of SW Prado Avenue for reports of shooting activity in the area. Police arrived on scene. They talked with several homeowners and witnesses who explained they heard about five shots fired in the area. One homeowner said he stepped outside of his home after hearing the shots and saw an unknown black car speeding down the street. The witness was unable to provide additional details of the car.

During the investigation, police located nine shell casings at the scene. In addition, an unoccupied parked car had two bullet holes. The owner/victim of the car was unable to provide police with any suspect information, however mentioned a group of young men were gathered inside of a garage in one of the homes when one male stepped outside to meet with an unknown subject to sell “dime bags”. Immediately after, shots were heard. The unknown subject /suspect in the suspect car (Unknown make/model, possibly black in color) fled the area. No injuries were reported. No damages to homes were reported.

Police are actively investigating this case; therefore, no additional information is being released at this time.
