PSLPD investigating fatal single vehicle roll-over crash on SE Green River Parkway
Port St Lucie, Fl- On May 1, 2018 at around 1:50 am, Port St. Lucie Police went to SE Green River Parkway for reports of a single vehicle roll-over crash.
PSLPD investigating fatal single vehicle roll-over crash on SE Green River Parkway
Preliminary investigation revealed that a white 1997 Ford F350, driven by 20 year old Byron Wingfield of Jensen Beach, was traveling north SE Green River Parkway between SE Melaleuca and SE Berkshire Boulevard. For unknown reasons, Wingfield veered off the right side of the road and lost control of the truck, resulting in the truck to roll over several times. The truck came to a stop after striking a tree on the east side of the road. Police discovered that Wingfield was ejected from the truck during the crash.
St. Lucie County Fire/Rescue transported Wingfield to Lawnwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the hospital staff.
Port St. Lucie Police Traffic Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into this crash.
