PSLPD: Driver Arrested after Doing Burnouts, Crashing into a Concrete Pole, and then Fleeing on Foot

Port St.Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – A driver was arrested after doing burnouts, crashing into a concrete Pole, and then Fleeing on Foot from Officers.
Yesterday morning at 2am, Officers were patrolling the area of NW Courtyard Cir when they observed a Ram 1500 doing burnouts in the crowded parking lot as customers were leaving VYBZ Lounge. Upon sight of the Officers, the suspect immediately tried leaving and did another burnout, almost hitting an Officer’s patrol vehicle.
The suspect left the parking lot and then crashed into a concrete light pole in the rear of the nearby Shell gas station, damaging his truck and causing the light pole to fall over.
The suspect then jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot eastbound where Officers apprehended him in the Chase Bank parking lot.
33-year-old, Errol Orage of Port St. Lucie, was arrested and charged with reckless driving, driving while license suspended, leaving the scene of a crash, resisting without violence, and possession of marijuana.
