PSLPD: Crying Baby Discovered Near Two Dead Bodies

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered inside a residence in Port St. Lucie along with an unharmed, crying baby.

Here are the details:

On May 27, 2023 at approximately 11:45am, Port St Lucie Police Officers responded to the 5500 Blk of NW East Torino Pkwy in reference to a welfare check at the behest of a family member of an adult male resident.
Officers arrived on scene and the residence was locked. Officers could hear a young infant inside the residence crying. Through a rear sliding door, Officers were able to visually see two adults inside on the floor, who appeared deceased.
Port St Lucie Police Officers forced their way through the locked front door and took the unharmed, crying infant from their crib. The infant is now with a family member.
Major Crimes Unit Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded. It appears at this time, an adult female was killed by an adult male who then took his own life. Detectives believe the two adults were romantically involved.
No further information will be released at this time. Detectives are not currently looking for anyone else who may have been involved.
