PSLPD: Aggravated Assault during Road Rage leads to arrest of 26-year-old man

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- On May 26, 2020, twenty-six-year-old Keven Cruzado, DOB 12/1993, Whispering Pines Lane, Fort Pierce was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, without intent to kill.

On Monday May 25, at 6:03 pm, Police investigated a road rage incident that occurred at the SW Rosser Boulevard & SW Santander Avenue, Port St. Lucie. The victim initially encountered the suspect (later identified as Keven Cruzado) while travelling on SW Gatlin Boulevard.  Cruzado was said to be travelling erratically in and out of lanes. He was “cutting other cars off” and attempting to drive his navy-blue truck in front of the victim’s car. Both cars made a right turn onto SW Rosser Boulevard. This is  when Cruzado caught up with the victim’s car and pointed a handgun out of the window. Cruzado then made a turn onto SW Santander Avenue, where he pointed the handgun “in the air” and fled the area.

No injuries were reported. With the assistance of Fort Pierce Police Department, Cruzado was apprehended and transported to the St Lucie County Jail on the above charge.

Police urge citizens if you are confronted with a road rage situation, whether or not a weapon is brandished; call police immediately, try to keep calm, don’t react to someone else’s actions and definitely do not get caught up in using your vehicle in response to the rage.
