PSL ROCKS DONATES FIVE ROCKS FOR FUNDRAISING TO BGCSLC

  1. LUCIE COUNTY, FL – Port Saint Lucie Rocks, the Port St. Lucie organization that is using painted rocks to boost the city’s community spirit, recently donated five painted rocks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St Lucie County (BGCSLC) for fundraising purposes.

The rocks, all of which featured Star Wars themes, were auctioned off at a recent St. Lucie Mets game, which also featured a Star Wars theme. During the evening, special Star Wars jerseys signed by Mets members also were auctioned off. Those attending the game were encouraged to wear Star Wars attire.

“We’re grateful to PSL Rocks for their generous donation of rocks,” said BGCSLC CEO William Armstead. “We’re proud to be associated with this unique organization that is becoming a strong presence in Port St. Lucie.” PSL Rocks volunteers paint small rocks that they then hide mostly on the grounds of city parks and recreational facilities throughout the community.

Those who find the rocks are invited to bring them to any one of several city facilities. Later in the year, the rocks will become part of a sculpture that will be displayed publicly.
