PSL Police investigating two smash & grab auto burglaries.

On June 22, 2017 at 8:20 pm, Port St. Lucie Police went to the parking lot of Outback Steakhouse, located at 1950 NW Courtyard Circle, to investigate a smash and grab car burglary.  Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) smashed open the driver side window of a 2016 Nissan Altima. They then reached across the car seat, and stole the victim’s backpack.  The backpack contained a Dell laptop computer, iPhone charger, earphones, and some personal items.  The burglary took place between 6:45 pm and 8:20 pm.

On June 22, 2017 at 10:00 pm, Port St. Lucie Police went to the parking lot of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, located at 1900 SW Fountainview Boulevard, to investigate another smash and grab car burglary.  Police learned that unknown suspect(s) smashed open the rear passenger window of a 2006 Kia sedan, reached across the back seat, and stole the victim’s backpack.  The backpack contained an Apple Macbook Pro laptop computer, headphones,1 TB hard drive, and approximately $110.00 in cash. This burglary took place between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm.

Police are reminding citizens to remove all valuables from their cars when left unattended.
