PSL Police find  hidden drugs during a traffic stop.

On June 27, 2017, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Caleb K Joly (DOB 2/6/95, 2882 SE Ironton Avenue, Port St. Lucie) for possession of Cocaine with intent to sell, possession of Marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation after police find drugs in his car during a traffic stop.

On June 27, 2017 at 10:30 pm, Port St. Lucie Police Officer R. Lodwick stopped a blue 2009 Toyota Camry for failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of SE North Blackwell Drive and SE Blackwell Drive.  Officer Lodwick made contact with the driver who was identified as Joly.  As Officer Lodwick was talking to Joly he could smell the odor Marijuana emitting from inside the car.

Officer Lodwick conducted a cursory search of the car finding 3 empty mason jars in the trunk.  During the search Officer Lodwick requested a drug sniffing dog to assist.  Officer Duncombe and his K-9 partner Zoran arrived on scene and took over the search.  As the search began, K-9 Zoran immediately alerted to the center console of the car.  Officers removed the plastic gear shift covering and discovered a mason jar containing small packaging baggies, a bag of cocaine weighing 13.2 grams, a mason jar with 6.2 grams of Marijuana, two scales used for weighing drugs, and a 9mm Glock handgun with two loaded magazines.  Police also found $1,000.00 in cash under the driver’s side floor mat.

Joly was arrested and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
