Police stopped a white BMW at the intersection of SE Shipping Road and SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard.  The witness was taken to the scene of the traffic stop where he identified the car as the vehicle the shots came from.  The witness also identified the passenger as being in the car at the time of the shooting.  Police spoke to the passenger of the BMW and he confirmed that the driver, Rodriguez, had shot his gun out of the sunroof of the car as they drove on Port St. Lucie Boulevard.

Further investigation revealed that Rodriguez was kicked out of the Hookah Moon Lounge located in Lakeside Center.  Rodriguez and his male passenger left the lounge in the White BMW.  As they drove on Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Rodriguez fired several rounds from the car.  Rodriguez told police that he shot his gun as a show or force.

During the investigation police located spent shell casings in the BMW and a Black Walther Pk380 handgun from underneath the front passenger’s seat of the BMW.  Police also located an Amoxicillin pill in the car and recovered marijuana under 20 grams from Rodriguez’s front pants pocket.
