PSL man arrested for shooting at bicycle after a dispute

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-A Port St Lucie man has been arrested for shooting at a bicycle after a dispute.

On January 11, 2020, thirty-four-year-old Jean Daniel  was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault after a verbal dispute that led to shooting at a bicycle.

It happened on Saturday January 11, 2020.  Police went to the 1400 block of SW Del Rio Blvd, PSL for reports of an alleged shooting activity in a residential area called in by neighbors. Police learned Jean Daniel and the victim were at the rear porch of the residence when they got into a verbal dispute. Jean Daniel asked the victim to leave the porch and then brandished a handgun pointing it at the victim.He  then fired a round toward the victim’s bicycle at which point the victim took off running. Jean Daniel left the area in a car and was later apprehended by police at NW Biscayne Drive, PSL. The victim was located and denied any injury.

Police recovered the firearm used during the incident. In addition, the ammunition recovered also matched the spent shell casing located at the scene.

Jean Daniel was arrested and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail where he is currently housed. No injuries were reported. There is no threat to public safety as this was not a random, but isolated incident.
